Getting here

Driving and parking

1845 32 Avenue NE, Unit 12, Calgary, AB T2E 7C8. We are on the north side of 32 Avenue NE between Barlow Trail and the Sunridge shops, in the strip with the cream-and-red awning. From downtown it is about 15 minutes east on Memorial Drive and up 36 Street; from the airport, ten minutes south on Barlow Trail. Parking is free: around 60 stalls out front, two accessible stalls at the door, and an overflow row behind the building for Saturday afternoons.

Calgary Transit

Buses run along 32 Avenue NE in both directions and stop about two minutes' walk from the door, at the crossing by the pharmacy. From the Blue Line, get off at Rundle station and either catch the 32 Avenue bus westbound or walk it in about 15 minutes. Check the Calgary Transit trip planner for the current route numbers and evening frequency, which drops after 21:00 on weekdays.

Bikes

A covered rack with ten loops sits beside the entrance, and the 32 Avenue pathway connects to the Nose Creek route. Bring a lock; we do not hold bikes inside.

Accessibility

Step-free entrance

Level access from the lot through automatic doors. No steps anywhere on the main floor, and the party rooms and both washrooms are on the same level.

Accessible washroom

One large accessible washroom with grab bars and an adult change bench, next to the party rooms. A second, standard washroom pair is by the arcade entrance.

Quiet hour, Sundays 10:00–11:00

Music off, attract screens dimmed, rhythm games paused, and staff keep the desk announcements to a minimum. Ear defenders are free to borrow any time.

Escape quests

The Lab and the Temple work for wheelchair users with a companion; Redbeard's ship has one low crawl and a ladder, both optional for individual players. Tell us at booking and the game master adjusts.

Sensory notes

Strobe-style lights are off by default and only on in the Temple's final minute if the team opts in. Fog in the Temple is water-based and can be switched off on request.

Service animals

Welcome everywhere, including the quest rooms. Water bowls at the desk.

Food and drink

The snack corner by the desk sells hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, ice-cream bars, pop, juice, drip coffee and tea, most items between $2 and $6 plus GST. Pizza is available to anyone, not just parties: a large from the shop three doors down is $24 plus GST and takes about 25 minutes, so order it before you start a quest. Outside food is fine in the snack corner and party rooms; please keep it off the machines.

Lost and found

Everything we find goes into a labelled bin at the desk and stays for 30 days. Call (403) 555-0177 with a description and we will check while you wait. Wallets, phones and keys are logged with the date; after 30 days unclaimed items go to a local charity shop and unclaimed electronics to a recycler. Lockers are free, which is the easiest way to avoid the bin.

House rules

  • Kids under 10 need an adult in the building; under 6, an adult in the hall.
  • Phones stay out of the quest rooms; they go in a pouch on the wall and come back at the end.
  • Wristbands and play cards are for the person who bought them.
  • No outside alcohol, and the building is fully non-smoking including vapes and the parking lot by the door.
  • Respect the queue: 15-minute turns on air hockey and racers when people are waiting.
  • Staff can ask anyone being rough with the machines or with other guests to leave; play card balances are refunded in that case, the visit is not.
  • Photos of your own group are welcome. Please do not film other people's kids.

Visit questions

Is the building wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The entrance is step-free from the parking lot, aisles in the arcade are at least a metre wide, and there is an accessible washroom on the main floor. Redbeard's ship has a short ladder to the crow's nest that one team member climbs; the Temple and the Lab are flat throughout.

Can I drop my kids off?

Kids 12 and older can be dropped off for the arcade or a booked quest as long as we have a parent's phone number at the desk. Under 12 needs an adult in the building. Under 6 needs an adult in the arcade hall with them.

Is there somewhere to sit and work while the kids play?

The snack corner has a long counter with power outlets and a window onto the hall, and the coffee machine is decent. Wi-Fi is available at the desk on request.

What about the winter?

The lot is plowed and sanded before we open, and the entrance has a heated mat. Boot racks and a coat rail sit inside the door so snow does not follow you onto the arcade floor. On a minus-30 January Sunday, we are open 10:00 to 20:00 as usual.
