Groups & schools
Field trips, youth groups and corporate afternoons
Weekday mornings the whole building is yours. Tuesday to Friday by arrangement, $18 per student, one teacher free for every ten.
School field trips
The hall is closed to the public until 14:00 on weekdays, which makes Tuesday to Friday mornings a quiet, supervised space for a class. A standard trip runs 9:30 to 12:30: the class splits into quest teams of six to eight and rotates through the three rooms while the rest of the group has the arcade, then everyone eats together in the party rooms. We can host up to 60 students at once with three rotations.
$18 per student plus GST, which covers one escape quest, 60 minutes of arcade play on a group card and use of the party rooms for lunch. One teacher or chaperone is free for every ten students; additional adults are $12. Bring your own lunches or add pizza at $24 per large.
Curriculum tie-ins
Teachers asked, so we built worksheets. Redbeard's ship covers compass bearings and simple map reading (Grade 4–6 maths and social studies), the Temple leans on logic and pattern work, and the Backwards Lab is a gentle introduction to sequencing and cause-and-effect for Grade 1–3. Debriefs after each quest are run by the game master and take five minutes. The sheets are free with the booking; ask for them in the enquiry.
Youth groups, clubs and teams
Youth and church groups
Evenings Tuesday to Thursday work well for groups of 10 to 30. A quest each plus a play card is $34 per person plus GST; leaders are free at one per eight kids. The party rooms are included if you want a spot for a talk or a snack.
Sports team wind-ups
End-of-season parties for minor hockey, soccer and ringette teams: the Legend party package covers 16 kids with two quests, two hours of arcade and pizza. Teams bigger than 16 add $22 per extra player.
Scouts, Guides and cadets
We can run the quests as a badge-style challenge with a scoring sheet, and the hall can be booked exclusively on a weekday evening from $600 plus GST for up to 40 people, three hours, all machines unlimited.
Corporate afternoons
An office of 12 to 40 people can take over the building on a weekday between 12:00 and 16:00, before the after-school crowd arrives. The usual shape: teams of five race the three quests in rotation, then an hour of unlimited arcade with a skee-ball tournament bracket that the desk runs and prints. Pizza and drinks are laid out in the party rooms, and the quiet room upstairs has a screen and a whiteboard if anyone needs to actually work.
Pricing is per person: $42 plus GST for a quest, unlimited arcade for the afternoon and lunch; $30 without food. Exclusive use of the building is included for groups of 24 or more, otherwise the hall is shared with other weekday-afternoon groups. We can invoice with a purchase order number and issue a receipt with our GST number on it.
Booking a group
- Send the basics. Use the contact form with the group type, head count, two or three possible dates and any accessibility or dietary notes.
- Get a plan back. Within one business day we reply with a timed schedule, the price and a simple booking form to sign.
- Confirm. Schools and non-profits confirm with a signed form, no deposit. Corporate bookings pay a 25 per cent deposit by e-transfer or card.
- Final numbers. Head count and food choices two business days before; we bill on the final count, not the original estimate.
Cancellations: free up to 7 days before; within 7 days the deposit (or 25 per cent for schools) is due, waived for weather closures or school-board cancellations.
Supervision and safety
Every quest has a game master on camera for the full duration, with two-way audio and a door that opens from the inside at any moment. Arcade staffing for groups is one floor staff per 20 kids on top of your own chaperones. All staff hold current first-aid certificates and have completed a police information check with a vulnerable-sector search, which is a condition of employment here. A first-aid kit and an AED are at the desk. Fire exits are at both ends of the hall and are walked through in the group briefing.
